Telegraf 7 J+P Immobilien

The new headquarters of J+P Immobilien, a major Viennese real estate developer, is hosted in Telegraf 7, a former telegraph office in a 19th-century Wilhelmine-era building in the heart of Vienna, just a short walk from the Museum District. The building has been completely renovated to create a modern office complex while maintaining its original architectural features. The central element of the interior design is the solution used for the two double-height halls of the piano nobile, where the former telegraph rooms are located. Two large glass enclosures with highly reflective surfaces create a dialogue with the stuccowork and other carefully restored decorative features. Conceived as rooms-in-a-room, the box-like volumes are structured on two levels linked by spiral staircases. The floor level hosts executive offices, conference rooms and enclosed task areas, while the upper level – a sort of interior terrace – contains open-space workstations separated by storage shelving and guest lounges.
